Brighton Pride is one of the largest LGBT celebrations around today. Held in the beautiful and diverse city of Brighton & Hove and last year had crowds of around 300k people!
The Gay You’ve Pulled team are based in Brighton so we’ve compiled a list of good drinking holes to enjoy along the way. There are so many good places to visit in Brighton and Hove so we’ve put down our top 8 suggestions along the parade route. Enjoy!
The Brunswick – Perfect place to meet at the start of the Parade by Hove Lawns. Large beer garden, serves BBQ style food.
The Cocktail Shack – For something a little different and slightly off the beaten track, head to The Cocktail Shack on Regency Square and try some of their innovative cocktails. We can recommend the ‘Getting Figgy With It’ cocktail to get you in the mood.
Fortune of War – Hey…you’re in Brighton so you need to at least pop down to the sea once. Located right on the beach, Fortune of War is the oldest seafront pub offering a huge beer garden (Brighton beach!) and inside is curiously shaped like an upside down boat!
The Victory – Escape the tacky pubs of West Street and head to one of the city’s oldest pubs with many of the original features. Just round the corner from the main parade route, this is a perfect place to pause for a drink or two.
The Bulldog – When in Brighton you must pay your respects to The Bulldog – Brighton’s premier gay bar since 1979! Located in the heart of the Pride Village Party, The Bulldog is predominantly a gay man’s venue, however all are welcome.
Pride Pleasure Gardens @ Victoria Gardens – There are shows and entertainment galore in the Pleasure Gardens with plenty of food stalls to tickle your taste buds and bars to quench your thirst. Entry is free to Pride Festival ticket holders.
Hobgoblin – With a beer garden and excellent menu, The Hobgoblin is a great place to recharge after dancing your way through the parade or partying hard at the festival!
The Joker – Choose Love Pride Party – One of the best places to party in the street and enjoy the parade before heading into the park. They’ll have a DJ and it’ll be busy!
Have a great Brighton Pride 2017!
